Niki Panteli (PhD) is Professor of Digital Business at the School of Business and Management at Royal Holloway University of London and is an Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She has an established international research record on the topics of virtual collaborations and online communities, the implementation and evaluation of information systems, digital platforms and digital transformation. She has published extensively on the topics of virtual teams and online communities and her current interests include digital transformations, online health communities and the social value of digital platforms.
Her work has appeared in numerous top-rated journals including Human Relations, Journal of the Association of Information Systems, Information System Journal, Work, Employment and Society, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Technology & People and New Technology, Work and Employment among others.
She is a Senior Editor for Information Technology & People and an Associate Editor for the Information Systems Journal, and is on the editorial board of several journals including the Journal of the Association of Information Systems, New Technology, Work and Employment and the International Journal of Information Management.
She is currently serving as a Guess Editor for a Special Issue (with Fay Graever and Jostein Engesmo) on ‘Emotions in the Digitalized Workplace’, Information Technology & People to be published in 2022.
Nisreen Ameen (PhD) is a Lecturer in Marketing, Co-Director of the Digital Organisation and Society research centre and Co-Leader of the Research Cluster: Cybersecurity and Human Behaviour at Royal Holloway, University of London. Nisreen’s research interests include digital marketing, human-computer interaction, consumer behaviour, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled services, data security and ethics; and e-business. She is a Senior Editor for Information Technology and People, Associate Editor for International Journal of Consumer Studies and a Board Member of the UK Academy of Information Systems (UKAIS). Nisreen is an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, The Service Industries Journal and Journal of Enterprise Information Management. In addition, she has been a Lead Guest Editor for special issues in high-ranked journals such as Information Systems Frontiers, Psychology and Marketing, Computers in Human Behavior and The Service Industries Journal. Additionally, she is acting as Guest Associate Editor for a special issue in Information Systems Journal.
In addition, she was the Best Paper Prize winner at the UK Academy of Information Systems (UKAIS) 2018 conference and she won the Best Researcher Award at the Bloomsbury Institute London in 2019. She presented her work at national and international conferences in the United Kingdom, United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle east. She is also a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and an affiliate member of the Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM). She is also acting as a co-chair for British Academy of Management (BAM 2021) conference SIG ‘E-business and e-government’.
